Southery Sedge Fen Drove smock mill stood well to the southwest of the village on the opposite side of the road to Horse_Fen_drainage mill. The mill used two pairs of stones and a boulting mill. The mill may well have originally have been built as a drainage mill.

DWELLING HOUSE ... farm premises, boarded and tiled barn, chaff house, turf shed, grinding house, cart lodge and mangold house, two enclosed yards with open sheds, cow house and piggeries and three enclosures of ARABLE LAND containing 11a. 2r. 22p. (more or less) being part of Nos. 413, 416 & 417 on the tithe map of the parish of Southery, abutting north upon Sedge Fen Drove, south east upon lands of Mr. John Sayle and upon land of \Mr. E.
