John Weston Jordan was born c.1850 in Horsley, Derbyshire. In 1881, he was given as a millwright, engineer and boiler maker living in Prince of Wales Road, St. Peter Mountergate with his sister Eliza E., (22). By 1883 he was in partnership with John T. Brockliss. Jordan & Brockliss were listed in Eyre’s directory of 1883 as engineers & millwrights in Prince of Wales Road. They were listed in White’s Directory of 1886 as engineers, millwrights and boiler makers in Prince of Wales Road, & Rockland St. Mary & London. John Jordan was listed as living in Prince of Wales Road. |
