John Buckle jnr was the son of John_Buckle_snr.

In 1841 John Buckle jnr was given as a millwright aged 25 living with his parents John and Mary in Rose Lane, St. Peter Per Mountergate.

John_Buckle_snr.was born 1791 Norwich. He must have moved around Norfolk doing his job because some of his sons were born in different places. John Henry Buckle jnr was born in Yarmouth 1816 and his brother William Edward born 1821 Bungay, Suffolk was also a millwright. Sometimes it just puts engineer on the census returns. Their brother Henry born 1829 Norwich was also a millwright. Most of the family moved to Essex in later life. I don't know if the occupation goes back further as occupations were not mentioned before 1841 census. NJean Nelson - 29th January 2011 |
