Christopher Southgate was listed in Whites' Directory of 1836 as a millwright in Rose Lane. He was in partnership with Thomas_Howard and William_Gaze in 1839. In 1841 census, he was given as a millwright aged 45-49 living in Rose Lane, St. Peter Mountergate with his wife Elizabeth, 35-39. He was listed in Blyth's Directory of 1842 as living in Rose Lane. Howard, Gaze & Southgate were listed in White's Directory of 1845 as millwrights in Back Street, St. Paul's. Christopher Southgate was also listed as a millwright living in Rose Lane. |
Christopher Southgate died on 10th February 1848. |
